PASTORAL COUNCIL ELECTIONS |
Parishioners are needed to fill vacancies due to expiring terms for present members. Being a member of Pastoral Council involves service to the Church community through a ministry of leadership. At monthly meetings, all members strive to develop a vision that will bring the talents and gifts of the parish together to further the Christian mission of bringing the Good News to the world.
Any registered parishioner over the age of 18 may submit a nomination for election to Pastoral Council. A nomination should include a photo and a short
autobiography, i.e.: Education, marital status, children, interests and number of years being a parishioner of either Church of Assumption or St Nicholas. You may know someone you feel would be a valuable and positive member for Pastoral Council and could recommend him/her for the position.
Please submit your application/nomination for Pastoral Council to either parish office of Assumption or St Nicholas no later than May 20. Nominations will then be posted in each church prior to elections on June 2 and June 3. If you have any questions or nomination suggestions please contact Greg Bell, 609-432-2082 or Donna Meineke, 609-965-2740.

A PRAYER FOR UNITY AND RENEWAL |
O God of love and mercy, we thank you for all the good you have placed in our midst. With gratitude and in confidence,we come before you as we enter this time of change for our Parishes and ourselves.
We ask you to guide us through this transition, and for the grace to accept this as a new journey of faith and labor of love to renew and strengthen our entire Church.
We seek your wisdom to recognize the deep faith, special gifts, and unique talents of each Parish, and the ability to blend them into one unified community of believers.
We pray for a new Parish Community that is renewed in faith, strong in hope, confident in your love, and proud to profess a common belief in our one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
Amen. |
